Sonus Festival welcomes a mixture of long-established legends

Sonus Festival unveils the next tier of global heavyweights added to this years techno epic, with latest additions making the third Sonus Festival outing the most ambitious to date.


Jackmaster, Jamie Jones, John Digweed, Len Faki, Mathias Kaden live, Marco Carola, Monika Kruse, Rødhåd, Richy Ahmed, Seth Troxler, Ten Walls live and The Martinez Brothers will make up some of forty international selectors and live acts joining forces with Apollonia, Chris Liebing, Dixon, Loco Dice, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth and many more.
 
With a world-class calibre of artists and unbeatable programming that makes Sonus Festival one of a kind, the party has been a sell-out success in past years, proving to be the summer soiree for discerning house and techno heads. Five days and five nights of unrivalled partying between 16th -20th August set in the hedonistic paradise of Zcre Beach, Croatia will unite underground fans the world over for an adventure that explores those artists that sit at the very top of the underground hierarchy.

 
Over sixty acts strong, Sonus Festival welcomes a mixture of long-established legends with ‘one to watch’ talents visiting the venues beach stages, arenas and boat parties. Fresh recruits include Keinemusik’s &ME, Cocoonclub resident Dorian Paic, Chilean techno enthusiast Felipe Valenzuela, Japan minimal man Fumiya Tanaka, and Ian F of Colours Music. New-breed UK talent features, with Jackmaster promising a disco-laced set perfect for his Sonus debut, Jamie Jones showing off deep tastes, and Richy Ahmed his disco, soul and funk infused dance floor anthems. Everybody's party-fave Seth Troxler and his Visionquest colleague Shaun Reeves will add intergalactic cosmic house and unadulterated fun to festival proceedings.
 
Marco Corola will journey through dark, timeless techno sounds, as will Berghain resident Len Faki and Dystopian head-honcho Rødhåd. Minimal man Onur Özer, dedicated raver Rampa, mainstay John Digweed, turntable master Karotte, the infectious Shoxy and Italy’s LEON also soundtracking this five-day escapade, plus two members of the Romanian institution [a:rpia:r] Raresh, and Rhadoo. Robert Dietz makes a much-anticipated addition, with Fuse resident Seb Zito, German duo Sedee, dream-team Soul Capsule, and illusive production masters Steffen Deux and Zero. Queens of the underground are Monika Kruse, Ukraine dancefloor master Nastia and classically-trained pianist turned DJ Sonja Moonear all represent for the ladies of techno.

 
Innovative live performances will play a key part, with Âme, Bunte Bummler, Mathias Kaden and Ten Walls all gracing festival-goers with high-production visual shows that wont be forgotten in a hurry. Croatia’s emerging scene will be fully reflected with Rave Association head honcho Mimi taking to the decks, with local talents Felver, Hash, Labud, Meat, and Sergej Snooze representing for Croatia.
 
Idyllic Pag Island destination Zrce Beach acts as the setting for this annual outing; with the perfect combination of golden beaches, on-site clubs and beautiful waves fully fit for Sonus Festival’s prolific boat parties. Easily accessible from Zadar, Split and Zagreb airports, this stunning beach spot is one of the easiest of the Croatia destinations to reach. Now three years strong, Sonus Festival is curated by Cosmopop, the team behind Time Warp events, and is now a serious contender for the biggest success in Croatia’s star-studded festival crown. Each year has delivered a five day and five night purist house and techno outing with only the finest world-class artists invited to play.
