As opposed to "tomorrows" where all of our big decisions and disciplines are sound asleep, where all the diets and life changes are comfortably chilling, there is also a one musical "tomorrow".

 

The Croatian capital, Zagreb, is already getting ready for the manifestations of this musical future because, on the 14th of November, we are welcoming the 16th Future Sound of Zagreb. It is going to unravel its sound over 6 floors ( FSOZ Legends, Techno, House, Bass, Psy/Trance, Fusion) and 4 clubs on the location of the ex Katran ( Depo, Shock Show Industry, Museum, Super Super).

 

We start off with the "Electronic round table" on Nov 12th, where you will get a chance to talk to renowned DJ's, producers and promotors on everything and anything regarding the scene, followed  by a FSOZ "New talent" B2B special “@ DEPO club, where we will be presenting the new fresh buds of Croatian electronics. The main evening takes place on the 14th, and will be closed by the official after party in Taboo club the next day, lasting until 2 PM.

 

In addition to this being the first year when the main event will take place for over ten hours (9 PM to 7 AM), we are also proud to present the first ever official FSOZ double CD edition, coming out under the Dancing Bear label.

 

In the past 20 years of continuous growth and development the Zagreb scene has seen it sound collected only in a couple of manifests that could serve as worthy indicators of the real heart beats of this flourishing musical organism: Zagreb City Limited - The Best of 'Techno' : vol. 1 (1993) and Zagreb DJ Music Festival (2007). The FSOZ compilation is therefore here to serve as a reminder of everything we are capable of and to remind us that local music shouldn’t just be an export commodity and an endemic creature to the local economy.

 

The compilation was born as a result of the work of Damir Cuculić, the legendary organizer, TV persona, promoter and the veteran of Techno scene. The CD's will include a walk through multiple genres - Techno, Psy Trance, House, Deep House, Tech House, Nu Disco and D'n'B, and encompass the work of artists such as Petar Dundov, Damir Ludvig, Fabian Jakopetz, F.O,R.M., Dj Ogi,  Blurix, Sthekerson, Lunar Dawn, Adrenalin Run, Omnivox, Plasma Corp, Twisted Twins, Drop Doppers, Eddy & Dus, Blacksoul & Mark de Line, Nikola Fuchkar & Sasha Moro,  Yakka,  Ilija Rudman i Homeboy, Vedran Purić aka 207, Neon, Kodin, General Woo, Brat Leeks, Strapazoot and Astro John.
